Our Pastors

In 1922 the Reverend Thomas Hendershott with the support of seven others embarked up the founding of a church ministry in East Baltimore known as the United Baptist Church. After serving as the founding pastor for 24-years, Reverend Hendershott was succeeded by the Reverend P.C. Land who served the church for a year and afterwards the church called the Reverend George Vanderford, who accepted the call and the pastoral charge of the 48-years of age and served until his retirement at the age of 89. In 1991 the members of the church elected and extended the call to the Reverend Dr. Carl J. Solomon, who accepted the call and has served as, and continues to serve as the church’s 4th pastor since its inception.
